A few weeks ago, I caught our friends’ son in front of the vast white space in the hallway with a green permanent marker in hand… contemplating. His shape resembled the Rodin’s “Thinker”, only standing… He was just about to doodle on the wall. And trust me, when I say it, as much of a fan of doodling I am, I WAS NOT HAPPY with the little guy!!!
Now, some time passed, I cooled down considerably, and I stumbled upon this WALL ART SITE
It’s genius, I tell you!!! Abso-fucken-lutely beautiful. Clean lines, modern feel, simplicity. I LOVE IT! I want IT!!! But since it only exists in The Kingdom of Far Far Away Europe, I am thinking of “doing IT” myself.
So, if one of these days, somebody catches me with a permanent marker in hand, in the dark hallway… contemplating… Don’t be surprised
P.S. Oh, and once again, DON’T FORGET to send your patterndoodles or doodlepatterns to doodlage@doodlage.com

I say go for it! I have 2 painting on my bedroom wall.
One of a mountain with a sunset and another of a man and woman dancing. Both are about 5′x5′ in size.
:o)
December 16, 2007 @ 7:19 amI love these! The living room one especially, so tempted to redecorate now

December 17, 2007 @ 3:27 amHi Tom,
Wow, 5′x5′ murals, that’s impressive! Dare to show them to us (not to worry, I’m not inviting myself over, just take a picture ;-))?
You know, I’m really, really considering doing at least one of those… I just like them too much.
December 17, 2007 @ 9:49 amHi, Internet Dreamer!
I love them too. Did you see all the stuff on their site? You should get it, seems like your location should allow you to do so
December 17, 2007 @ 10:01 amI love these. they are very original. Takes a lot of courage too. You go for it!!!
December 17, 2007 @ 3:11 pmHi Debo Hobo,
I can’t stop looking at them
And the coolest thing about the original ones is, that they’re totally safe for walls, you can take them on and off! As opposed to whatever I manage to scribble on my walls
December 17, 2007 @ 3:33 pmThis is so cool! I wish someone would do this to my room. If I have the talent, I would paint my walls but I’m sure I would mess it up.
December 18, 2007 @ 7:05 pmHi dementia,
I agree, it’s way cool!!! Too bad we can’t order it here. I’m affraid of messing up too, but I’m seriously considering to give it a try
December 18, 2007 @ 10:08 pmOh I love these, not to mention the alphabet one would look neat in a writer’s room or a children’s bedroom. I say go for it.
December 20, 2007 @ 4:18 amHi homemom3,
Yeah, I think they’re all really creative and good looking! Did you look at the other ones at their site? There’s a lot of stuff specifically for kids! Very cute
December 20, 2007 @ 9:12 amGreat link - super creative good stuff
December 26, 2007 @ 1:43 pmGreat concept. I’ve always been interested in doing wall art as well. The art they are selling is vinyl though, which you can get for WAY cheaper than they’re selling it for. They want 95 pounds for 38″x19″ for this example:
One pound is 2 US Dollars, so that’s almost 200 bucks for that big of a decal… which isn’t that big. But here in America, we have custom decal places that if you provide them with the art work (Adobe Illustrator file or EPF, or some other Vector format) they’ll be fine with charging less for design. Take this FULL CAR LENGTH decal for instance:
Forgive the fact that it’s obviously a crappy decal, and just think of the concept. That’s a big-ass decal, and for 1/4 the price and 2x the size =)
Anyway just helpin’ ya out!
December 26, 2007 @ 3:38 pmHi Scott,
That’s really funny that you’ve mentioned it. LeO had the very same idea when I first showed him this page. I’d be curious to see how this auto vinyl sticks to the walls… But still, credit goes to MiraEntuInterior, their designs are VERY creative, clever and elegant.
December 27, 2007 @ 10:09 amThanks for sharing your idea

I’ve see the second one, it’s on my list of things to mention (although I can’t honestly say that I would be brave enough to put something like that on my wall ;-))
