I’m not big on color… I am more of a black-n-white kind of doodler. Color on walls? – YES!!! Food? – certainly! in shopping – sure!!! But in drawing? Not so much.
Some artists are way more color-inclined than me. Look at this paint marker magic:

And the kid is only 16… (Aaa… here comes the doodle-envy again)
Here’s an excellent site for Colour Lovers as well as for Colorfully-Challenged people, such as myself. This post is particularly stimulating.

How about some COLORSTROLOGY for you? Turns out my personal color is PANTONEĀ® 18-5115 (a very nice shade of sea-green). And that “…the urge to create is an essential part of your nature. You have the gift of intuition and are able to communicate your ideas with inspiration and conviction…”
Couldn’t have said it better myself
Turns out there’s even a business – perspective on use of color. Colors project certain message when used on your stationary or in the stores. Of course, sometimes there are curious outcomes of the brand color strategies. Do you know who OWNS MAGENTA? You can find out here., just be prepared, your eyes might hurt a bit, but it’s all for the good cause

Wow, you have a very interesting blog. Great on the eyes and it pops!
Love it! Keep up the good work.
January 21, 2008 @ 11:43 pmSorry, had to write another comment about that kids work. I went to the forum and it just amazes me how some of people have a gift like that.
January 21, 2008 @ 11:45 pmI’ve always wanted to be better with color. I also wish that every time I am on the phone with someone who I really don’t need to talk to, I had a pad in front of me. I always draw my best doodles then.
January 22, 2008 @ 12:07 pmHello RonRipple,
Thanks for stopping by and your kind comments
January 22, 2008 @ 12:28 pmHi Stephan,
I hear yah. My doodles only get their color in afterlife, aka Photoshop
Oh, well, maybe one day.
January 22, 2008 @ 12:29 pmKeep your pad handy and buy a really good pen, that helps too. Good luck and keep doodling.
That is an awesome picture at the top and I’m currently checking out the links right now; they look very interesting.
This is a pretty cool blog you have here. Thanks for placing the (cheap) ad with me!
January 22, 2008 @ 4:20 pmI sorely tempted to stop visiting this blog, I have already added a graphic tablet to my list, now I will have to add those pens and pencils!
Curse you, in a nice way
January 23, 2008 @ 8:23 amDefinitely got some skills right there!
