just monkeying around…

Well, Dale Chihuly certainly doesn’t have any need in my advertising. He’s the mind glass-blowing guru, the one-eyed pirate of installations, the rock star of pottery, the king of gigantic chandeliers. And apparently – a fellow doodler. Of course, everything he does is so big (literally) and bold, so it’s only natural that Maestro doodles with a broom, right? ;-)

I’ve seen his work up close and personal at the wonderful Grounds for Sculpture in New Jersey, and it’s as cool in real life as it looks on the pictures (or even better). I also saw his magnificent chandeliers in Atlantis Resort, Paradise Island, Bahamas and a bit closer to home, in the Bushnell Theater, Hartford, CT.
Feel free to turn green from envy, or just go to Dale’s homepage and discover all amazing projects he’s completed around the world. Perhaps there’s one coming to your neck of the woods?

    Hi Myku,

You’re welcome. All of his projects are very impressive. Either by sheer size, or by creativity, or both :-) Enjoy!

Hey RaShell…yes, his artwork is absolutely amazing. My hubby and I got to see his glass work first hand when we stayed at the Bellagio in Vegas several years back. Awestruck is all I can say. Thanks for the link to his site.

    Hi Diamond Digger,
His things are quite spectacular. And he does very different stuff, not just same-old, same-old over and over again. Take a look at his installations all over the world :-)
