American version of British Doodle Day is coming up on May 8th. I checked out the DoodleDay’s Website and while there, discovered a whole bunch of local celebrities who donated their artful scribbles to the good cause: It turns out both Special Agents Scully (Gillian Anderson) and Mulder (David Duchovny) doodled on the margins of their X-Files:

Multi-talented Ellen DeGeneres drew a crowd (figuratively and literally speaking):

Patricia Arquette went for some flower-power:

And Elaine’s, sorry, Julia Louis-Dreyfus entry seemingly took a clue from Michael Crichton’s novel Prey. Totally abstract, but still cool:

But, the best part is, the Doodle Day is not for celebrities only!!! MOREOVER, there’s a new idea in the blogosphere - a Doodle Week May 8th through 14th! How cool is that?!!! Check out the program, spread the word, participate, post your doodles on your own blogs/sites, special group on Flickr or send them to us (doodlage@doodlage.com). Any help is welcome and most importantly:
*in the voice of DeGeneres’ character from Finding Nemo* Just keep doodling, just keep doodling…

I am definitely doodly do excited now
