I’m back from our yearly homage to the sea, pines, shells, sand, and good old-fashioned way to rest and relax,? called Cape Cod. No computers and very little tv (mostly olympics)? felt very nice for a change.
But all good things come to an end eventually, so here I am, scanning my vacation doodles (of which I have many – good indication of time well spent
)

p.s. I will post the results of our CDoodling contest first thing tomorrow.
p.p.s. Lauren, I got your cards, they’re awesome! Thank you very much!

RaShell, I just love your doodles, especially the abstract ones. I wish I was as good as you! I will have to practice
Take a look at Printmaking and the Festival of Arts (my latest post). I think you’ll like the little print I did! I thought of you!
Yay! Glad you got the cards!

Oh, thank-you, thank-you! I got a bunch of scrap black cardboard from work, used those funky pens on them, it was fun.
I saw the post, at first glance I didn’t realize it was your print, thought it was some kind of oficial logo
)) Really cool!

August 25, 2008 @ 9:15 pmWhy didn’t wait for a few weeks and go to Cape Cod when I am there!
August 26, 2008 @ 2:18 pmClaire,
That’s right, you’re “crossing the pond” pretty soon, aren’t you?!! Yeah, it would be cool if we were there at the same time, wouldn’t it?
August 26, 2008 @ 2:53 pmIs somebody taking you to the Cape, or are you on your own? If you wanna know my favorite places over there, feel free to ask
Yep I am arriving on the 2nd
I am travelling about on my own visiting various bloggers, with a week in the middle staying at a beach house with a bunch of the bloggers I have known since I started blogging.
In that week, we are driving up from Rhode Island for a day trip to the Cape, so any recommendations would be cool.
Where are you anyways? Or is that classified?
August 26, 2008 @ 5:40 pmOh, no, not classified, I live in MA, right on the border with Connecticut. Greater Springfield area.
August 26, 2008 @ 8:17 pmMy Cape Reccomendations are:
*Town of Chatham (very cute by itself, plus there’s a beautiful Chatham Lighthouse Beach (water if freezing though) and a fish pier with seals frolicking in the water.
Then there’s the whole National Seashore stuff, especially nice – Marconi Beach on the way up rt.6, in Wellfleet area.
Then there’s a really cute Truro Winery that you can stop by on the way to Provincetown (also on Rt.6, where it meets Rt. 6A.
And then, there’s P-town itself. That you’ll have to see for yourself. Can’t decribe it, really
I love your doodles!!
