I dunno about you, guys, but for me, having a cool notebook to doodle in makes a world of creative difference! Yes, I scribble on scraps and on the top of my own notes… But isn’t it neat, once in a while, to open up a really good looking book, created specifically with your inner doodler in mind and create something special on the fresh, smooth pages? My point exactly!
So, here’s a short but diverse international list (there’s Sooooo much more fun stuff out there, but I just didn’t have time to look longer) of notebooks that I adore and wish I could doodle in.
From lovely, supertalented Canadian designerCarolyn Gavin @ Ecojots come these colorful beauties:

All the way from Genova, Italy, Celestefrittata sells these absolutely magical books that are just begging to be filled with potion recipes and doodles of unicorns:

In the mood for something offbeat and zany? New Zealand company Zany, offers a wide range of unbelievably fun products for the quirky side of you:

Looking for a cute yet classy sketchbook? Portland, Oregon’s Black Apple has made (among many other beautiful things) such thing, adorned with an exquisite drawing in her very distinct style:

If you’re a DYI kinda person, you can try following instructions in this craftstylish.com tutorial and make your very own original recycled “idea book” (good for you, your wallet and for the environment – can’t go wrong here!):

Oh, and while we’re on the subject of ideas and doodles. Remember those Doodles in a Bottle that I showed you some time ago? I finally made them into something finished and put them up for sale on Etsy. Let me know what you think of what became of them.

    Hi Dawn,

Thank you for your kind words :) I wish I could comment more (your blog being one of my favorites – I read it through rss and rarely get to actually say something)…
Oh, and thanks for adding me to your faves on Etsy. I’m still looking around there and trying to figure out how to make the best of it :)
