just monkeying around…

Ah, this is such a great idea! Perhaps we can do something like that later on… Windisch-Hunt Gallery in Florida is sponsoring a Mail Art project to be exhibited during the Coconut Grove Arts Festival this February, one of the largest arts festivals in the country.

The entries arrive daily and the gallery diligently displays them in the One Ear Society Blog:
There’s just something infinitely attractive in these very tangible “real” pieces of art that make their way through the mysterious ways of USPS and end up being part of this great exhibition.

Some are more elaborate than others, but boy, do I wish I found out about the whole thing a little earlier…

Keep coming back to the OneEarSociety’s blog, to see what the mail brings every day ;)

Fun! I used to work at a contemporary art museum, and there was a show like this once– it was really cool and inspiring!

Yeah, I really wish I found out earlier about this :) There’s really something special and endearing about an actual piece of of mail, especially if it’s been lovingly decorated by talented artists. Fun indeed :) ))
