Artsyville is a bright, colorful place. Even simple everyday things look exciting in it. Words of wisdom are written in elegant playful letters and everything is colored in fun hues. Meet Mayor of Artsyville, illustrator and mixed media artist Aimee Dolich, who finds her inspiration in little stuff of life. A fleeting thought, an odd scene, a touching moment, a bizarre thing in the street, and a tough parenting day are all equally likely to find their way to her journal pages and scraps of paper. Too bad you can’t find Artsyville on the map, but you can certainly visit it on Etsy ![]()

Aimee is also keeping an awesome Artsyville blog which features those “little inspring things”, as well as cool “in progress” photos of her creative projects and ideas. I especially love the Groovy Doodle Cards:

These are a bit too cartoony for my own personal taste, but they are colorful and bright for sure. Would be hard to wear a scowl after looking through these

March 27, 2009 @ 4:23 pmok, yes, this IS getting weird! You’re right. The next time we post about the same thing I bet it’ll be something really obscure and the only way to explain it will be that for some reason we’re communication telepathically without knowing it. I can’t wait!
