This Box Doodle Project has made it’s honor rounds around the web recently, but I decided to feature it anyways, cause I like it so much. Doodling, art, recycling, cool designs, all in one… box. Or should I say ON the box? Artists from around the globe “went to town” on these boxy creations and the results are very interesting to look at. Some are 3D and others are completely flat. Some make use of the original box’s shape while others just use the surface as if it were a plain piece of paper. Makes me want to go dig out some used packaging and grab a trusty sharpie myself ![]()

The project is a “baby” of the Munich based artist and art director David Hofmann. The rules are quite simple: rearrange a box to make any kind of figure or object. Make the most of least. Anyone can participate, just doodle+photograph+send your entry in (there’s a link for entries on boxdoodle.com).

But wait, there’s more!!! You can digi-doodle on a virtual box and send in a screen shot of the results. Just use the interactive Box Doodle Tool

In any case, it’s definitely worth getting lost in this boxy creative landscape. Page after page, after page of raw creativity. Enjoy ![]()
